The internship goals for each level is different:
- High School Students: The goal is to foster students’ interest in the public health or health fields. Students will learn about public health issues and gain basic public health skills. We hope to nurture an interest in studying public health at university. This is an opportunity for students to take leadership roles and be active in advocating for health issues that impact our youth’s health and well-being.
- Undergraduate and Graduate Students: The goal is to gain entry level experience and immersion in the public health field through experiential learning. Students will apply the knowledge and skills learned at university and HIPHI to complete a project. We hope to mentor students as they begin to enter into public health and related fields.
- Recently Graduated (all levels): The goal is to provide supplemental experience, training, and mentor individuals to transition into the next stage, whether it be attending school or entering into the public health workforce.
